During this tour you will visit almost all of the most spectacular places of Kyrgyzstan that welcome so many people. You will see our gorgeous mountains, pure alpine lakes and ancient architecture. Also it is a great luck to feel yourself as if you are a real nomad and to touch virgin beauty of the nature.
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
You will be met by your guide at Manas International Airport and accompanied to Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where you will start the day with a hot breakfast. The rest of the day you will spend in Bishkek. The City Tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and lunch. Then we will drive to the Chon Kemin valley and stop in the Kalmak-Ashuu Guesthouse, where you also will spend the night. On the way, we will stop by at the Burana Tower (minaret and watch tower of Balasagun city from the 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors).Dinner is at 7 pm.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
You will spend some time in Chon Kemin Valley, for a photo session to capture all the beauty of large alpine valley. Here you have a perfect chance to see real Kyrgyz nomads living in yurts almost like 1000 years ago. Before our departure to Tamga village, we will stop in Konorchek to walk 2 hours among labyrinths of red mountains. Then picnic is organized here. Afterwards we will go to Tamga village that is situated on the southern shore of Issik Kul lake, the 2nd largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). "The pearl of Central Asia" as it also called. On the way to Tamga we will visit our famous hunter with golden eagles - Talgat. Here we can do some photos of the eagles and Talgat will tell us about his birds. Accommodation is in Askar guesthouse (1600m).
Day 3: Tamga - Barskoon Pass (3754 m) - Jashil Kol Lake - Arabel Suu valley (5 hours)
We will drive to Barskoon village to visit the family that manufactures yurts. This will be aperfect chance for you to reveal the secret of producing those unique nomadic dwellings. Then we continue our way to Barskoon gorge, one of the most picturesque places in the mountainous Terskey Ala Too. You will see one of the highest waterfalls in Kyrgyzstan (alt. 2500 m) that is 60 meters high. From this place we start our trekking. We will have an ascent to Dunguromo pass (3100 m) passing which we get to a wonderful valley Dunguromo. After a few kilometers down from the pass, we stop for the camping. Dinner will give us an opportunity to share with impressions of the first day. Night is in tents at the altitude of 2850 m.
Day 4: Arabel Suu valey - Chakalu Kol Lake (7 hours)
Today we wake up early around 7 o'clock in the morning. We hike to the Chokolu Lake over pretty steep Zauka Pass, which is considered to be a historical pass, the part of the great Silk Road. Coming closer to the lake we will set up our camp for the night. Night is in tents at the altitude of 3800 m.
Day 5: Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass (3720 m) - Dzhukuu gorge (7 h)
We have to prepare all our equipment to pack it all on the horse in the morning. We will reach the Dzhukuu valley passing back the Zauka pass. Then we go down the gorge about 20 km and reach the foot of the Ashu Kashka Suu gorge where we set up camp for the night. Dinner and overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2770 m.
Day 6: Djukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorge (7 hours)
We will go further looking for new impressions and feelings. We will go along slopes are covered with juniper and fir-tree forest. Juniper is a very unique tree for several reasons. And it has very special role in Kyrgyz traditional rituals. Afternoon we will stop at the foot of Ashu Tor Pass we will set on our camp. Dinner and overnight in tents at the altitude of 2970 m.
Day 7: Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass (3638 m) - Jukuchak gorge (7 hours)
Early in the morning we will prepare all our equipment again and then we will hike up the gorge Ashu Kashka Suu. We make a short stop for lunch at the foot of the pass and then we will rise to the Ashu Tor Pass (3490 m). After the pass we get into the Dzhukuchak gorge. Here we are given a possibility to take a bath with hot mineral water. After good bath our guide will offer you a local beer. Dinner and overnight is in tents at an altitude of 2500 m.
Day 8: Dzhukuchak gorge - Orto-Bulak Pass (2900 m) - Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu gorge (7 hours)
In the morning we will go towards the Kichi Kyzyl Suu Valley through the territory of Issyk Kul forestry that is located in the Dzhukuchak gorge. Further we have to climb the pass Orto Bulak (2900 m) to approach to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge where we break our camp for the night. This place is famous for its wonderful beauty and adorable views of mountains. Dinner and night is supposed to be spent in tents at the altitude of 2300 m.
Day 9: Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Jili Suu water warm springs
We begin our trekking towards the picturesque valley - ChonKyzyl Suu. First we will go down to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge through the territory of forestry. Then we move along the Djily Suu Mountains and finally we get to Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge. Then we go up to the warm mineral springs where we will take a warm bath and relax. Overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2150 m.
Day 10: Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge - Ak Sai Pass (2805 m) - Jeti Oguz gorge (7 hours)
We start the hike in the direction of the Jeti Oguz gorge. First, we go down to the place of Ak Tash, to cross the river Kyzyl Suu (Red River). After that we begin the ascent to the pass Kok Dzhayyk. The road will pass through a little pine forest, which will touch your heart with its beauty and silence. After the forest we will have a look at the Jeti Oguz gorge which will impress you for sure. Lower in the gorge we will stay in yurt camp Kok Dzhayyk. Dinner and overnight is in yurts at the altitude of 2300 m.
Day 11: Jeti Oguz gorge - Karakol town - Cholpon Ata - Bishkek city
So this is the last day of our fascinating adventures in Terskey Mountains. Our car will be waiting for us at the yurt camp. Afterwards we will go to Karakol town - administrative and cultural center of Issyk Kul region. During the city tour in Karakol we will visit colorful Dungan Muslim mosque and old Orthodox Church. At soviet time city was named Prjevalsky in honor of the great Russian explorer and traveler Nikolay Prajevalsky. Lunch is in Karakol. After we finish the lunch we head to Bishkek. Overnight is in the hotel of Asia Mountains.
Day 12: Bishkek
Today you will have a free day to go for a walk in Bishkek city and to buy souvenirs to your relatives and friends. Also it is possible for an additional price to have an excursion to National Park Ala-Archa . It situated in the Ala-Archa gorge, on the Kyrgyz range (a spur of Tien-Shian), in 45 km from Bishkek-capital of Kyrgyzstan. This beautiful gorge situated on the altitude of 2100 m above sea level.It has unique juniper and fir tree forests, mountain river, waterfall and snow white peaks that are possible to be seem from a far distance that is why the park so popular.. In the evening is a farewell dinner and walking on the main Square Ala Too at night to watch our new fountains with colorful lights and classic music!
