Our company will help you to explore Kyrgyzstan, small country in the heart of the Tian-Shan Mountains. But it will surprise you with variety of landscapes: wide steppes, green fields, sandy deserts, turquoise lakes, snowy mountains, fast rivers, an abundance of wild life with many rare and endangered species, historical and archeological places related to the Great Silk Road and people preserving the traditions of their nomadic ancestors.
Day 1: Bishkek - Karakol (450 km - 8 h) (1 650 m. a. s. l.)
In the morning we start our way to Karakol town that took place on the eastern part of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake. On our way, we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret from the 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). Then you will be brought to the wonderful Issyk-Kul Lake - the 2nd largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). "The pearl of Central Asia" as it also called". You are going to really enjoy the amazing view of the Tien Shan Mountains that surround the whole lake. Due to the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative properties. On the way, we will make a short break to give you the opportunity to visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). They were depicted by local tribes of Saks and Usuns that believed that Issyk Kul Lake was the center of the world. During the drive to Karakol town you will drive along the whole northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. Overnight in a guesthouse "Elita" in Karakol.
Day 2: Karakol - Mokraya Polyana glade (2790 m a. s. l.)
In the morning we visit the Dungan mosque. That was built in traditional Chinese style without using any metal part. This will be followed by the visit of an old wooden Orthodox Church. It was made of wood more than 100 years ago and used to be a dancehall in the Soviet Period. Afterwards we transmit to Karakol gorge. It is an amazing gorge that is situated at the heart of the Terskey Mountains. We will have hiking to the foot of the glade named « Mokraya Polyana » (7 h). Overnight is in tents on the altitude of 2790 m. above sea level.
Day 3: Mokraya Polyana glade - Eastern Irdik lake (3 200 m. a. s. l.)
In the morning we start our trek to the eastern Irdik Lake (3200 m, 7 hours hiking). We will hike over the pass Bokovoi (3300 m). During the hike we see constant changing of the landscapes and will move through the juniper forest where a sick person starts to feel better. There we can see a wonderful and unforgettable sunset over the most beautiful peaks of Kungey Ala-Too mountainous range: Fuchika (4010m), Morozov (3960m), 800 years of Moscow (3872m). Overnight is in tents.
Day 4: Eastern Irdik Lake - Western Irdik Lake (3 300 m. a. s. l.)
Today we will hike for about 7 hours. On the way we will see many edelweiss fields (the flowers of love) and pastures that are used by Kyrgyz nomads. At the altitude of 3650 m is possible to meet many marmots. We will hike over Severnyi pass that is 3380 m. above sea level. And there you will forget about busy civilization and you relax enjoying the amazing views of our Mother Nature. Camping at the altitude of 3300 m. above sea level. Overnight in tents.
Day 5: Western Irdik Lake - Karakol (1 650 m. a. s. l.)
We start our day with descent to Diychin valley (5h) where many Dungan people live since the 19th century when they were fled to Kyrgyzstan. We will visit a Dungan family and try traditional lagman soup. While hiking to the village it is possible sometimes to meet real nomadic families on the way. Every year they go to the mountains with their cattle and live in yurts. A yurta is a unique collapsible dwelling made of felt and wooden frame without a single nail, decorated by Kyrgyz women. Afterwards transmit to Karakol town (10 km - 25 min). Overnight in "Elita" guesthouse (1650 m).
Day 6: Karakol - Kochkor (280 km - 5 h, 1800 m. a. s. l.)
In the morning we will start or way to Kochkor village. On the way we visit Djeti Oguz Mountains that are very attractive because of their beauty and there you will see the Broken Heart Mountain, about which you will be told a romantic and very sad legend by your guide. Then while driving along the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake we will visit a small private factory of yurts. Your lunch will be in Bokonbaevo village in Talgat's House. He is a famous hunter with golden eagles. It is very popular in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. So Talgat will tell us about the way he trains his birds of prey. In Kochkor village we will learn a lot of new about national traditions and customs. You will witness the process of making traditional Kyrgyz carpets and even take a part in it! After it traditional dinner in a yurt, we will listen to a folk concert. This night you will spend in a home stay with a local family.
Day 7: Kochkor - Bishkek (210 km - 5 h)
We start drive to the capital of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek city. After arriving you will have some time to take a break in your guesthouse and then will be the last dinner in national restaurant with national music. Last night you will spend in «Asia Mountains» guesthouse.
