If you are feed up with civilization there is the best chance to feel the freedom of mind. You will have a trekking tour among untouched nature of marvelous mountainous in Kyrgyzstan visiting lakes of pure sparkling water. During the tour you will learn and understand Kyrgyz traditions, customs and culture, because the Kyrgyz being nomads for thousand years managed to keep it till now days.
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley (170 km - 4 h)
You will be met by your guide at Manas International Airport and accompanied to Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where you will start the day with a hot breakfast. The rest of the day you will spend in Bishkek. The City Tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and lunch. Then we will drive to the Chon Kemin valley and stop in the Kalmak-Ashuu Guesthouse, where you also will spend the night. On the way, we will stop by at the Burana Tower (minaret and watch tower of Balasagun city from the 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors).Dinner is at 7 pm.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga (150 km - 4 h)
You will spend some time in Chon Kemin Valley, for a photo session to capture all the beauty of large alpine valley. Here you have a perfect chance to see real Kyrgyz nomads living in yurts almost like 1000 years ago. Before our departure to Tamga village, we will stop in Konorchek to walk 2 hours among labyrinths of red mountains. Then picnic is organized here. Afterwards we will go to Tamga village that is situated on the southern shore of Issik Kul lake, the 2nd largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). "The pearl of Central Asia" as it also called. On the way to Tamga we will visit our famous hunter with golden eagles - Talgat. Here we can do some photos of the eagles and Talgat will tell us about his birds. Accommodation is in Askar guesthouse (1600m).
Day 3: Tamga - Barskoon gorge - Dunguromo Pass (3570 m) - Dugurotmo gorge (5 hours)
We will drive to Barskoon village to visit the family that manufactures yurts. This will be aperfect chance for you to reveal the secret of producing those unique nomadic dwellings. Then we continue our way to Barskoon gorge, one of the most picturesque places in the mountainous Terskey Ala Too. You will see one of the highest waterfalls in Kyrgyzstan (alt. 2500 m) that is 60 meters high. From this place we start our trekking. We will have an ascent to Dunguromo pass (3100 m) passing which we get to a wonderful valley Dunguromo. After a few kilometers down from the pass, we stop for the camping. Dinner will give us an opportunity to share with impressions of the first day. Night is in tents at the altitude of 2850 m.
Day 4: Dungurotmo gorge - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Chokolu Lake (7 hours)
Today we wake up early around 7 o'clock in the morning. We hike to the Chokolu Lake over pretty steep Zauka Pass, which is considered to be a historical pass, the part of the great Silk Road. Coming closer to the lake we will set up our camp for the night. Night is in tents at the altitude of 3800 m.
Day 5: Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Dzukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorge
We have to prepare all our equipment to pack it all on the horse in the morning. We will reach the Dzhukuu valley passing back the Zauka pass. Then we go down the gorge about 20 km and reach the foot of the Ashu Kashka Suu gorge where we set up camp for the night. Dinner and overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2770 m.
Day 6: Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass (3490 m) - Jukuchak gorge (7 hours)
Early in the morning we will prepare all our equipment again and then we will hike up the gorge Ashu Kashka Suu. We make a short stop for lunch at the foot of the pass and then we will rise to the Ashu Tor Pass (3490 m). After the pass we get into the Dzhukuchak gorge. Here we are given a possibility to take a bath with hot mineral water. After good bath our guide will offer you a local beer. Dinner and overnight is in tents at an altitude of 2500 m.
Day 7: Dzhukuchak gorge - Orto Bulak Pass (2900 m) - Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge
In the morning we will go towards the Kichi Kyzyl Suu Valley through the territory of Issyk Kul forestry that is located in the Dzhukuchak gorge. Further we have to climb the pass Orto Bulak (2900 m) to approach to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge where we break our camp for the night. This place is famous for its wonderful beauty and adorable views of mountains. Dinner and night is supposed to be spent in tents at the altitude of 2300 m.
Day 8: Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Jili Suu water warm springs
We begin our trekking towards the picturesque valley - ChonKyzyl Suu. First we will go down to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge through the territory of forestry. Then we move along the Djily Suu Mountains and finally we get to Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge. Then we go up to the warm mineral springs where we will take a warm bath and relax. Overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2150 m.
Day 9: Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Kok Dzhayyk Pass (2700 meters) - Jeti Oguz gorge
We start the hike in the direction of the Jeti Oguz gorge. First, we go down to the place of Ak Tash, to cross the river Kyzyl Suu (Red River). After that we begin the ascent to the pass Kok Dzhayyk. The road will pass through a little pine forest, which will touch your heart with its beauty and silence. After the forest we will have a look at the Jeti Oguz gorge which will impress you for sure. Lower in the gorge we will stay in yurt camp Kok Dzhayyk. Dinner and overnight is in yurts at the altitude of 2300 m.
Day 10: Jety Oguz gorge - Karakol (30 km - 1 h)
Our journey will be continued towards Karakol city. Today we will visit Prjvalsky Memorial Complex, dedicated to the outstanding Russian explorer of Central Asia. Also we will visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral and very remarkable wooden mosque, made in the Chinese style. In the evening we drive to Dyishin village, where we will have dinner with Dungans - Chinese Muslims, who have come from Dunhuang, central China 200 years ago when it was a war between Chinese and not Chinese nationalities and religions. We will have an opportunity to try different kinds of salads and of course national dungan bread. Check-in hotel Elita**.
Day 11: Karakol - Kochkor village (330 km-6 h)
Early in the morning we departure to the Kochkor village, where we can discover national traditions and customs, watch the process of making traditional Kyrgyz carpets and visit a handicraft museum. Also we will see and participate in the process of settling a yurt. A yurta is a unique collapsible dwelling made of felt and wooden frame without a single nail, decorated by Kyrgyz women.In the evening you will enjoy the Folk-concert. Dinner in a yurt and carpet-making show is organized especially for you. Overnight is in a guesthouse.
Day 12: Kochkor - Bishkek
Transmit to Bishkek. Accommodation in a guesthouse. Free time for shopping and excursion around capital.
Day 13: Bishkek - Europe
Pick up and transmit to Manas International Airport is according to your flight details.
