Day 1: Almaty
Greetings! We are happy to see you in Silk Road Tours 3. On arrival to Almaty, you will enjoy the city tour. Immerse into beauty of Southern capital of Kazakhstan. Visit the famous Green Bazaar and bargain. You will find there everything you want! After that, you can visit Almaty parks as Panfilov Park and see beautiful green garden of flowers and trees. Continue your tour to the famous Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, dedicated to the memory of the fighters who fought for the independence of Kazakhstan. Then visit the Medeo Gorge and enjoy skating rink. We will drive to the Kok-Tobe and see the biggest TV tower in the world. You will have an idea of photoshoot. Also, you can buy gifts for your family and friends. The day will end by Almaty cableway and enjoy panorama view! Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 2: Almaty - Charyn - Almaty
The tour will start by travelling to the Charyn Canyon. You will be provided by 1,5L of bottled water. Also, you want, you can take snacks. The road will take about 4 hours. You will see the local museum of traditional decorative and applied arts and crafts. For sure you will be impressed by historical items. On arrival to Charyn Canyon, you will have a hiking tour and capture panorama views. Walk for about 2 km via the maze of the Castles Valley and see different shapes of gorge and icy cold Charyn River. There are yurts (dwellings) are places there and work only in summer period. Night is in a hotel.
Day 3: Almaty - Issyk - Almaty
We will drive to the Trans-Ili Alatau or Issyk Gorge. It is located on the Kuldja tract. You can see the burial mounds of Saka period and the sacred"Golden Man" as the symbol of Kazakhstan. Afterwards you can drive to the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "ISSYK" and find ancient traces as a copy of Golden Man and golden items, ancient ceramics, weapon, elements of horse equipment and of course the model of Saka burial mound. Driving at the altitude of 1756 meters above sea level, you will have an idea to see mountain lake Issyk, found 10,000 years ago. There is a dam of about 300 meters in height. Also, you will see turquoise colors of its water surface and the Issyk Gorge appeared due to natural disaster in 1963. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 4: Almaty - BAO - Almaty - Bishkek
The next destination of our tour is travelling to the Big Almaty gorge. It is located at an altitude of 2,510 m above sea level. See the Big Almaty Lake one of the most attractive lakes in Trans-Ili Alatau. The celestial mountains are surrounded among the lake and wonder travelers on tours. It is important to note that the Big Almaty Lake found its way due to an ancient glacier. The temperature of water is always cool in July and does not exceed 10 degrees. The access there is controlled by government. On the way you will see astronomical and space researches near the Big Almaty Lake of an altitude of 3300 meters above sea level. This is the perfect place for panorama views. In addition, you can see Tian-Shan fir-tree, aspen and juniper. In the end of day, we will drive to Bishkek at 15:00 for about about 4 hours. The night will be spent in a hotel.
Day 5: Bishkek - Burana - Issyk Kul northern shore
We are glad to present the next day of our tour in Kyrgyzstan. Visit the Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic and other places of visit. Further, we will travel to Issyk Kul Lake. It is the second largest alpine lake in the world of 1608 m. above sea level and called "the pearl of Central Asia" as well as never freezes. On route you can visit the Burana Tower (11th century) and see open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). Rest is in a hotel.
Day 6: Issyk Kul - Grigorievskoye - Semenovskoye - Karakol
Today you will be impressed bySemenovskoye and Grigorievskoye gorges. The green valleys of meadows and greens will not leave anyone indifferent on tours. You will see small waterfalls and mountain streams and walk along forest. Then we will drive to Karakol city and visit the Dungan mosque, which was built (without nails) and has Chinese style. Don't forget to visit an old wooden Orthodox Church. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 7: Karakol - Jeti Oguz - Issyk Kul southern shore - Bishkek
The tour will start by sightseeing of Jeti Oguz gorge (Seven Bulls). You will see rocks in seven quantity placed in a row. On the back you will see the Broken Heart Mountain. Panorama views will inspire you for photoshoot. Later on, we will drive to Bokonbaeva village and meet berkutchi (an eagle hunter). He will show you an eagle hunting show and allow to take photos with birds. We will continue drive to Bishkek. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 8: Bishkek - Osh - Guliston - Khudjand
Today you will have flight to Osh city. On arrival, you will drive to Tajik border. You will pass via Batken region and see apricot trees as well as sacred flower - Aigul. Tajik driver will meet you and accompany you to Khujand city. Passing Anzob pass of 3 372 m you will enjoy panoramic views. Khujand is the second largest city of Tajikistan and located on the Syr Darya River at the Fergana Valley with the population of 149,000. It is the capital of the northernmost province of Tajikistan - Sughd. In the second half of day, visit the Cultural Palace of Khujant where the first president of Tajikistan took place and see the Central Mosque, located in the middle of the city. Your night is in a hotel.
Day 9: Khudjand - Iskanderkul Lake
In the morning you will visit the Mountain lake - Iskanderkul (2 255 m. a. s. l.), which is located it in the famous Fann Mountains. It is one of the striking places in Central Asia. In addition, you will see beaches and take rest on warm sand. Spend 40 minutes on tours to see magnificent waterfall. Tajikistan receipts the second place of the CIS countries for volume of water resources and the highest water reserves of all Central Asian countries with more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. It is worth travelling in Tajikistan and see such beauty on tours. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 10: Iskanderkul - 7 lakes - Penjakent
We will travel to Fannsky Gory (Fan Mountains) and have hiking tour. On the way we can visit Seven Lakes (Marquzor Lakes) as well as see 7 lakes of various colors and shape. We will meet locals and exchange cultures. Afterwards, we will drive to Penjakent or ("five villages"), located in Khujand of Tajikistan near Zeravshan river valley. This city was found in the 5th and 8th centuries AD and nowadays called - Sogd or "Central Asian Pompeii". You will see two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses with paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods and others, where its traces were found only in the last century. Also you can see dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshiper's church. You will spend night in a local guesthouse.
Day 11: Penjakent - Jartepo - Samarkand
The next destination of our tour is travelling to Samarkand. We will transfer to the border at 10 am. Samarkand is situated in the valley of the river Zerafshan and the second largest city of Uzbekistan as Babylon or Rome. The city tour will include Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square was found in the 15th and 17th centuries and famous for its three Madrasahs as the most famous places among travelers. Shakhi-Zindeh has different mausoleums found in 11th and 15th centuries and included to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bibi Khanum Mosque is dedicated to Tamerlane's wife. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 12: Samarkand city - Gijduvan - Bukhara
After breakfast, we will drive to Bukhara. On stop, visit Gijduvan village in order to see private pottery workshop. Sills of Gijduvan ceramics passed from father to son from generation to generation and considered to be sixth generation of potters from Narzullayevs family which blessed Gijduvan school ceramics. There is geometric pattern with green and blue colors of site. We will continue drive to Bukhara. Night is in a hotel.
Day 13: Bukhara
Today we will have a city tour of Bukhara city. First to all visit Citadel Ark found in the 4th century and combined several dynasties of Bukhara Empire. In addition, you will see Samanids mausoleum of 9th and 10th century. We will continue our travels to Chashma Ayub or Job's well and Bolo-Hauz mosque. There are forty columns built in honor of Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. Also you can find souvenir shops and get gifts to your beloved ones. Afterwads, visit madrasahs of Bukhara - Nodir Divan Begi which belongs to the Lyabi House Ensemble. On the way you will visit the Poi Kalon complex and three buildings built in the 12th and 16th centuries. As Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 14: Bukhara - Khiva
The morning will start by driving to Khiva. On arrival, you will find more than 140 architectural monuments, belonging to the middle Ages. You will be impressed by narrow streets full of shops, parks and gardens, historical and architectural monuments. You will pass via Kizilkum desert and see stunning view of Amu Darya River as the deepest river in Central Asia connected by the Panj and Vakhsh in Tajikistan) and flowing into Aral See. When you arrive in Khiva, you will have rest in a hotel.
Day 15: Khiva - Urgench - Tashkent
Today you will have a city tour of the oldest city of Uzbekistan. Get impression of Ichan-Qala and see old sound buildings, palaces, mosques, Madrasahs, Mausoleums, Minarets, Caravan-Sarais and Bathhouses reformed Ichan-Qala into unique city-monument. Ichan-Qala consists of over 400 traditional dwelling houses and 60 architectural monuments as well as was historical and architectural conservation area in 1969. In addition, visit wonderful Kunya-Ark fortress, found in 17th century by Muhammad Arang Khan. You can also visit Kalta Minor minaret and Tash Khouvli palace. They are considered to be a real heritage of Khorezm of in 1830s. Afterwards is flight to Tashkent. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 16: Tashkent - Airport
