Day 1: Bishkek - Burana - Issyk Kul northern shore
We are happy to welcome you for Silk Road Tours 2! From Manas International Airport, you will be transferred to Bishkek. It will take 30-minute from the airport. Start tour by visitin the Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic and others. After we will travel to Issyk Kul Lake, the second largest mountainous lake in the world with altitude 1608 m. above sea level. The second name of the lake is "the pearl of Central Asia". It is important to note that, the lake is never freezes due to salt bottom. On the way to lake, you will visit Burana Tower as well as an open air museum of Balbals or stone warriors. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 2: Issyk Kul - Grigorievskoye - Semenovskoye - Karakol
The next day of your tour is travelling to the famous gorges as Semenovskoye and Grigorievskoye. They are considered to be the national park. On arrival, you will see celestial mountains and white snowy tops, adding more attraction to the gorges. There are many of small beautiful lakes located at the bottom. Then, we will drive to Karakol town and see the site built in Chinese style and without nails - the Dungan mosque. Visit an old wooden Orthodox Church. Night will be in a guesthouse.
Day 3: Karakol - Jeti Oguz - Issyk Kul southern shore - Bishkek
Today we will visit the Jeti Oguz gorge or Seven Bulls. Its rocks are situated in a row. You can also see the Broken Heart Mountain. Spending 20 minutes of hike, you will see outstanding panorama view. Afterwards we will travel to Bokonbaeva village. On reaching, we will meet an eagle hunter or berkutchi. He will organize an eagle hunting and allow to take photos with birds. We have no doubt you will like such entertainment on tours. In the end of day, we will back to Bishkek. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 4: Bishkek - Osh - Guliston - Khudjand
Today you will have flight to Osh city. You will be taken to Tajik border. You will drive over mountains and high passes and enjoy landscape. On the way you will pass by Batken region and see apricot trees and unique flower - Aigul. Meet Tajik guide at other side and drive to Khujand city. On the route, you will see Anzob pass with altitude 3 372 m. Don't miss to take inspire of panorama views. Talking of Khujand, it is second largest city in Tajikistan, located on the Syr Darya River at the mouth of the Fergana Valley with the total population of 149,000. Khujand is the capital of the northernmost province of Tajikistan, nowadays called Sughd. In the afternoon you will see Cultural Palace of Khujant, where Tajikistan's first president took place. Then visit the Mosque, located in the center of the city. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 5: Khudjand - Iskanderkul Lake
We are glad take you to the alpine lake - Iskanderkul. It is located at the altitude 2 255 m. a. s. l. in the famous Fann Mountains. This is the famous place among tours by travelers. You will see sandy beaches and take lot of photos. Spend 30 minutes in order to see waterfall. We are sure you will be impressed. Tajikistan is the country that has second place among the CIS countries for volume of water resources and worth to see seen on tour. There are more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. Your night will be spent in a hotel.
Day 6: Iskanderkul Lake - 7 lakes - Penjakent
Today we will have a tour to the Seven Lakes or Marquzor Lakes. This is the best for hiking tours. On arrival to 7 lakes are situated you will see them located at different altitudes and colors. On the way you will meet locals there. Afterwards, we will drive to Penjakent, situated in Khujand area of Tajikistan in Zeravshan river valley. Get acquainted with five villages with rich history, found in the 5th -8thcenturies AD. Penjikent was the most important cultural and crafts centers of Sogd in past times and called"Central Asian Pompeii" with a ruler's palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods, but its traces were found only in the last century. Visitors will see the remains of dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshipers church. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 7: Penjakent - Jartepo - Samarkand
In the morning, you will drive to the border at 10 a.m. On arrival to Samarkand, you will see it located in the valley of the river Zerafshan and considered to be the second largest city of Uzbekistan is Samarkand as Babylon or Rome. Visit sites as Registan square (15-17th centuries) is one of the most visited places among travelers, Shakhi-Zindeh (11th-15 centuries) is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque was built for favorite Tamerlane's wife after his campaign in India. This night will be in hotel.
Day 8: Samarkand city - Gijduvan - Bukhara
Today we will travel to Bukhara. On the way we will visit Gijduvan village and have workshop. Gijduvan ceramics school skills passed from one generation to another. Nowadays there is the 6th generation of Narzullayevs family who blessed the Gijduvan school ceramics all over the world. In Gijduvan School of ceramics you will see the geometric pattern of light colors as green and blue. On arrival to Bukhara, rest is in a hotel.
Day 9: Bukhara
We will have a city tour and visit the ancient citadel in Bukhara, found in the 4th century - Citadel Ark. In past times, it served for several dynasties of Bukhara Empire. Afterwards you will see Samanids mausoleum, which is the unique of architecture of 9th -10th century. Walk to the Chashma Ayub and Bolo-Hauz mosque to see forty columns built in honor of Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. In addition, you will have an opportunity to visit souvenir shops and get gifts to your family and friends. Visit madrasahs of Bukhara as Nodir Divan Begi. It is a part of Lyabi House Ensemble, and important sightseeing of Bukhara. Also you can visit Poi Kalon complex and get impressed of its beauty which has three constructions built in the 12th - 16th centuries: Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 10: Bukhara - Khiva
Today we will travel to Khiva city. Talking of Khiva, it is a "town museum". There are more than 140 architectural monuments of the Middle Ages. This city has narrow streets, green parks and tremendous gardens, historical and architectural monuments belonging to different sites. You will pass by the famous Kizilkum desert and see the amazing river - Amu Darya, appeared in a result of the confluence of the Panj and Vakhsh rivers in Tajikistan and flows into the Aral Sea. On arrival to Khiva, you will have rest in a hotel.
Day 11: Khiva - Urgench - Tashkent
Today's destination of having the tour in the oldest city of Uzbekistan in the inner city of Khiva - Ichan-Qala. There are old sound buildings, palaces, mosques, Madrasahs, Mausoleums, Minarets, Caravan-Sarais and Bathhouses in the city. In Ichan-Qala, you will find more than 400 traditional dwelling houses and about 60 architectural monuments. In 1969, Ichan-Qala developed a historical and architectural conservation area. On the way, you will see the Kunya-Ark fortress as the main attraction of Uzbekistan. It was built in 17th century found by Muhammad Arang Khan. In addition, you will see sights as Kalta Minor minaret and Tash Khouvli palace, and outstanding example of Khorezm architectural craftsmanship of 1830s. In the evening, you will have flight to Tashkent. Rest is in a hotel.
