In different regions of Kyrgyzstan there are places of interest worth visiting and in the Osh region it is highly recommended to visit Sulaiman Too. The mountain is as high as 1175 m above sea level. It is 1 140 m long and 560 m wide. The name of the mountain relates to the biblical legend of King Solomon (Suleiman) who visited these places of Kyrgyzstan. The mountain had various names and until 16th century it was named as Bara-Kukh, then Takht-i-Suleiman - "The Throne of Solomon". As history tells, during the times of the Timurid dynasty and commander Bobur powers, the mosque with the same name was built here. Travelling in Kyrgyzstan and visiting the mountain you may see that there are seven caves in the mountain. One of the caves became the Osh United Historical and Cultural Museum. You may organize a tour in Kyrgyzstan and witness ancient monuments as mosque and mausoleums of great saint meaning. Due to its importance, it was enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2009, June 29.
