Peak Khan Tengri
Our team invites guests of Kyrgyzstan to explore the charming Khan Tengri peak on tours around Kyrgyzstan, enjoy the views of nature. The peak has an altitude of 6995 meters above sea level. The ice cap makes an altitude of 7010 meters above sea level. Guests of the country on a trip to Kyrgyzstan will be able to travel around the country and find out that the peak is located in the Issyk-Kul region, on the border with Kazakhstan.
Most often, the locals refer to the peak as the "Prince of Spirits" or "Lord of the Sky". And the peak had different names in the past at different time periods, as the researcher made a mistake and confused the peak with Pobeda peak. At first, the peak was called Kan Tau (Blood Mountain). Most likely, the peak was named because of the blood of those who died while climbing the peak, and also because of the red sunsets.
In tours of Kyrgyzstan, customers will be able to explore that in 1931, a group from Ukraine were the first to be able to conquer the peaks to rent a car for tours. Guests of the country during the tours can explore that during the Soviet Union, people did not have the right to explore the territory of the summit. But most likely it was not allowed because of the unexplored territory. Guests can rent a car, but also enjoy the views of the charming Enilcek Glacier, as well as Lake Merzbacher, marvel at the enchanting views of lakes, rivers, valleys and gorges, and take many beautiful photos.
