As for major lakes of Kyrgyzstan, first of all we mention the pearl of the country, Issyk Kul Lake. It is a mountain lake never freezes and out of it we see the name is translated as "warm lake". Issyk Kul is located in Kyrgyzstan and is considered to be the second largest high-altitude lake; the first is Lake Titicaca in South America. After lake Baykal it is known as the second clear lake in the globe. Climate changes may cause to change of water level.
The other famous and worth visiting lake is Son Kul. It is the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan. Son Kul may be visited in the course of a tour in Kyrgyzstan at the altitude of 3016m above sea level. There we may see green pastures and amazing nature. Waters flow from River Kajyrty into Naryn River.
The highest lake in Kyrgyzstan is Chayr Kul at the altitude of 3530m, going from Kok Aygyr river without outflows. The feature is there is no fish here. The mystery of Kyrgyzstan is presented by Merzbacher Lake. It emerges and disappears every year, summer. Lake is 4 km by 1 km, and about 40-80 m deep. Rivers in Kyrgyzstan are seen even as flooded valleys as Sary Chelek. It is located in the south west of Kyrgyzstan. The lake is surrounded by streams and is full of fresh clear water. The very center is presented by National Park but it is rather difficult and problematic to visit it.
