Kyrgyz Rivers

As Kyrgyzstan is a mountain country there are a lot of rivers in these mountains that may be visited by all travelling in the country. Long time ago rivers were used for the means of transportation between countries and just villages. And now we would like to inform you about most known rivers of the country which may be visited when you rent cars and travel here:

River Naryn is 535 km long and is one of the longest rivers in the country which creates the division of Big and Little Naryn Rivers. The river flows to Syr Darya and Aral Sea. Travelling on cars for rent along the Fergana Valley you have an opportunity to witness the Toktogul reservoir. As the practice shows, power generations dry up water resources. The example is that Uzbekistan dries up resources of the Aral Sea.

The Talas is the river in Kyrgyzstan which may be visited during your tours is known since 751. In the Chinese chronicles it is said that the river  is the place where the Chinese people suffered from the west and didn't managed to keep the secrets of production of silk and paper.

The Chui river is located in the Naryn region and is going along the Kyrgyz Range. In the course of travelling in Kyrgyzstan to witness the river Chui you are going to pass the Boom Gorge and the Chui valley.

The Sary Jaz may be seen when you travel to the peak Khan Tengri on the border with China as it flows to China then. During a tour in Kyrgyzstan to this river you can see that there was a suggestion to create a bridge in 2003. It was supposed to connect valleys. But the idea failed. The Chatkal is the river which may be visited during tours to the west of the Tien Shan mountain range. Previously it was possible to make tours and travel to Uzbekistan from Kyrgyzstan in the course of travelling, but now the strict visa regime is difficult and complicating.
