Folklore show should be visited by every guest of Kyrgyzstan. And it is considered to be the genre of different sides of interest. As for peculiar features of folklore in Kyrgyzstan we identify songs of ritual meaning like sanat and imbue. These all have an aim to moralize poetry, proverbs and myths, fairytales and legends.
Being in a tour in Kyrgyzstan you should know the legend of the emergence of the Kyrgyz people. According to it, there are two words of creation the people - "kirk" and "kyz" - "forty girls". But not all Kyrgyz may be akyns, it is necessary to have a gift of singing and improvisation. Musical instruments used for accompaniment are - komuz or kyl-kyyak.
Then, the other folklore member in Kyrgyzstan is manaschi. These are the ones who are able to produce the famous epic without interruption. The aim of manaschi in Kyrgyzstan is to sing the epic, to make necessary intonations. Manaschi are obliged to change the tempo and dynamics of narration. Travelling in Kyrgyzstan you may visit the performance of the epic Manas.
The folklore demonstration may cost for 100$ per a group for professionals and is held in Bishkek; and 50$ per a group for amateur local musicians in the village Kochkor.
