People from all over the world come to Kyrgyzstan to enjoy its nature. Biking tours are very popular in Kyrgyz Republic. 93% of our country represents mountainous landscape. That is why you can visit so many unbelievable gorges during your biking tour. Your adventure will comprise also the visiting of the most famous places in the republic. You will also have a great opportunity to make the acquaintance of the genuine nomads and to see their nomadic way of lifestyle.
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
Your guide will collect you from the International Airport of Manas and accompany you to Bishkek City (capital of Kyrgyzstan). The drive from the Airport to Bishkek takes 30 minutes. After accommodation in a hotel*** that is situated in a clam area of the city you will have a rest and you will start the day with a breakfast. This day you will have an excursion to the Natural Park of Ala - Archa, which is situated on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), in the Ala-Arch gorge, 45 km. south from Bishkek. To have a nice view of this famous gorge you will go to the top of a mountain. Transfer back to Bishkek. At 7 p.m. traditional dinner will be served. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.
Transfer by car from Bishkek to Chon Kemin valley (200 km). First part of the road is along the Kyrgyz range. Kyrgyz range is situated just 40 km from the capital of Kyrgyzstan. It has many amazing gorges that attract a lot of people. We will have wonderful views of snowy peaks from the road. On our way, we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret from the 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). Afterwards we will arrive to the Dzhylangach river. Then we will ride about 40 km. Overnight in tents.
Day 3: Ride (58 km) Dzhylangach - Kichi-Naryn
This day is easy one. We will ride by the dirt road along the Balgart and Kichi-Naryn Rivers. We will spend this night near the Kichi - Naryn River in tents in the forest. Since ancient times this area is popular among the Kyrgyz nomads. Shepherds with all their relatives were coming to this region. As a big family all of them were going from one place to another one with a great amount of livestock. The Kyrgyz nomads like to meet travelers and are very hospitable. Some Kyrgyz tribes could comprise 1000 yurts and even more!
Day 4: Ride (63 km) Kichi-Naryn - Naryn town
Breakfast. After that we will ride down to the Village of Kichi-Naryn (2351m. alt.). It is located 4 km away from the confluence of Naryn and Kichi-Naryn Rivers. To the town of Naryn (2050 m. alt.) you will ride along Naryn River. The whole way will be along incredible gorges and you will have many photo stops! This day is easy one. Lunch will be on the road. The road to Naryn will surprise you by its beauty and amazing mountains. Riding is by the main road. Naryn town is situated 2800 meters a. s. l. and it has mountains very close to the town. It was built right along the gorge near the longest river in Kyrgyzstan - Naryn; it is narrow long town. You spend this night in yurts, as nomads.
Day 5: Transfer or Ride Naryn - Tash Rabat (Stone Castle) Caravanserai (130 km)
This day you can ride or be transferred from Naryn town to the Great Silk Road Tash Rabat Caravanserai. Its construction refers to the 14th century A. D. Tash Rabat is situated at the altitude of 3200 m. above sea level, in the very heart of Tian Shan Mountains. This building has no analogue in the world. It was constructed out of stones and beside that it was partly built inside the mountain. Totally there are 31 rooms, which are joined with mazes. There are also dungeons for medieval culprits. The walls width of is about one meter. This night you will spend nearby the Tash Rabat Caravanserai in yurts. Yurts are nomadic habitations that are made out of wood without using a single nail and felt.
Day 6: Ride (86 km) Tash Rabat - Moldo village
In the morning after packing your backpacks you will ride from Tash Rabat to Moldo village. This is moderate difficulty ride along the Naryn Valley. Asphalt road. This way was used by ancient traders at the time of Great Silk Road. Thousand of traders were passing there with their goods from China on camels and horses. It is a nice chance to feel that you ride along the same way! Overnight in tents (1670m. alt.).
Day 7: Moldo Village - Son Kul Lake
This day you can cycle or to be transferred (60 km) from Moldo Village over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.) to the 2nd largest lake in Kyrgyzstan Son Kul. Son Kul Lake is surrounded by mountains and it is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altitude of 3016 meters above sea level. Kyrgyz nomads started to come to this wonderful area with their families for rest and relaxation. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. The first part of ride is easy with a slight descent to the entrance of the gorge. There is a narrow spot where we will go in the narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls, in some places up to 200 meters. A steep ascent to the pass begins here. The descent is easier and shorter. You will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its environs after our arrival. Dinner. Overnight stay (3016 m. alt.) is in the nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts. Yurt is made of a wooden frame, covered with thin felt mats.
Day 8: Son Kul Lake
This day we will spend in the Kyrgyz paradise, at Son - Kul Lake. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. You will have an excellent opportunity to explore Kyrgyz nature and lifestyle on your own. You can ride along the lake on a horse, or just relaxing in the atmosphere of the wild, but calm nature. We will walk among the Tian -Shan Mountains where every nomad invites you to his yurt to try kymis - national staple drink made of mare's milk. You will spend this night in tent camp.
Day 9: Transfer to Bishkek city
In the morning we will drive to Bishkek city. You will be carried away by the amazing scenery offered through views of the untouched nature. In the city you will have free time to go shopping and to walk in the capital. In the evening you will have a dinner in a restaurant and this night you will spend in a hotel***.
Day 10: Bishkek
In the morning we will have a city tour. This tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest. Afterwards we will visit famous Osh Bazaar. You will walk there and bargain for different goods and you will have a feeling as if you are 1000 years ago! At 7 o'clock a farewell dinner will be served. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.
Day 11: Transfer to the airport
At the time arranged beforehand according to your flight details your guide will collect you from your hotel and accompany you to the Airport of Manas.
