This enchantingtour will carry you back to the time of undisturbed nature, free nomads and mysterious traditions. You will discover the magnificent of celestial mountains, located in Central Asia. The route runs along the Great Silk Road passing towering ranges of Tian Shan massif. You will see our pride - the world's second biggest alpine lake Issyk-Kul, as well as the godlike Son Kul Lake, that hidden on a high plateau in the centre of Kyrgyzstan (3013m. above sea level).
Day 1: Bishkek - Issyk Kul Lake
The guide meets you in Airport and accompanies to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek (30 min. drive), and you have a breakfast. Then you will be transported to the peerless celestial Issyk Kul Lake (200 km), the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608 m. above sea level). Another name of the Lake is "the pearl of Central Asia". On our way, we will visit the Burana Tower (preoffered part of fortress 11th century) and a Cemetery of Balbans (stone warriors). After having taken a traditional lunch, we continue our trip to the lake. As soon as we are in Hotel you will have a rest on the northern beach of the lake where you can lie on the warm sand or swim in the lake. Thanks to the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses healing qualities. The dinner will be organized in a local restaurant.
Day 2: Issyk Kul Lake - Karakol
Breakfast will be offered at 8 am, and then you have free time to enjoy the lake till 12 pm. And then you will start your trip to Karakol city by car (200 km). On the way, we will make a short stop to give you the possibility to visit ancient stone depictions (dating back to 800 B.C.), including the local museum. At 12 o'clock you will have a second break, where you can enjoy your lunch in a nice atmosphere, before continuing our trip to Karakol city along the northern shore of the shining treasure of Central Asia, which's beauty you will be able to delight during another break, where you go on a one hour cruise on a steam boat. Then you will be transferred to Karakol city. Your dinner will be offered in a guest house and there you stay for this night.
Day 3: Karakol - Tamga
Traditional breakfast will be followed with an enchanting Karakol City Tour. The tour includes the visit of the Dungan mosque. That it is built by Chinese technology without using any metal nail. This will be followed by the visit of a small wooden Russian Orthodox Church. Later, you will visit the museum of M.V. Prejvalsky, one of the world's greatest observes. The most famous achievements were the crossing of the Taklamakan desert and the discovery of more than 4000 animals, including the Horse of Prejevalsky. The City Tour ends with a traditional lunch and we leave Karakol at 1 pm, starting our trip to the sublime Jeti Oguz, the gorge of 7 red rocks (30km). You will see the Broken Heart Mountain and the Sanatorium (where you can take a hydro shower or get a massage). Then off to observe the Jeti Oguz valley (Yuri Gagarin's holidays house, yurts, alpine vegetation) or colorful Chong Kyzyl Suu valley with its hot spring water and geophysics station built in 1948. Then transfer to Tamga village, a place where ancient Tibetan monks lived in the 13th century. Your dinner will be offered in the Tamga Guest house and there you stay for this night.
Day 4: Tamga - Bokonbaiva - Kochkorka (120km)
Your breakfast will be offered as usual at 8 o'clock. Then you have time to have a rest on the sunny warm beach of the Issyk Kul Lake (till 12 o'clock) or to observe the village of Tamga. Afterwards we start our trip to Kochkorka village by car. The break will be in Bokonbaeva village, where lunch will be offered in the house of a local eagle-hunter. He hunts hares and foxes with the help of eagles (traditional way of nomads hunting). Very eagle hunting show can be arranged. Subsequently, we will continue our trip to Kochkorka via the bewitchingOrto-Tokoi water reservoir. At the Kochkorka village you will meet a hospitable family that shows you the way of how national woolen felt carpets are produced. You even can create your own carpet. Overnight is in the Kochkor Guesthouse and there you will have a traditional dinner with a local family, accompanied by a special national music show.
Day 5: Kochkorka - Son Kul Lake
You will have a good breakfast before you start drive to the adorable Son Kul Lake (the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan). Lunch will be taken on the way. Son Kul Lake is situated at an altitude of 3013 meters above sea level and surrounded by mountains. It is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan. Since ancient times Kyrgyz nomads used to come to this delightful area with their families for rest and relaxation. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a generous pasturelands. You will stay for the night in yurts and have traditional dinner. And yurt is very comfortable, fancy decorated dwelling of nomads. Traditionally it builds without nails, just wood and felt.
Day 6: Son Kul (3013m. above sea level)
Breakfast will be offered at 8 am. Today you have free day to spend at Son-Kul Lake, when you will observe and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings on your own. You can ride a horse along the lake, or just relaxing in the atmosphere of the virgin and calm nature. Lunch will be offered at 2 pm. Then you will visit ancient petrogliphs (ritual stone depictions) and sacred stones of shamans. It is a great opportunity to get acquainted with nomadic traditional culture. National dinner will be offered in yurts. You will spend the night in yurts as nomads do.
Day 7: Son Kul - Bishkek
You will have a good breakfast before you start trip back to Bishkek city (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). Arriving to Bishkek you will have a city tour including lunch. You will visit the central Ala-Too Square, shady Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many other highlights. You will receive a separate program, listing all places visited including a brief description. Your farewell meal will be offered in a restaurant and for night you stay in a Hotel***.
Day 8: Bishkek - Europe
The guide will take you from the Hotel and attend to the Manas Airport according to the time of your departure.
